Connect Aurgus in Claude

Aurgus is a remote MCP server. Add it to Claude and you can work a governed rebate / month-end close from the chat — ask how a rebate is treated under US GAAP for free, or connect your Aurgus account to ingest your own extract, compute the close, trace any figure to its lineage, and pull an auditor-ready deliverable.

What you can do

The six tools

  • explainfree · no sign-in

Explains how a rebate, incentive, chargeback, or trade-spend payment is treated under US GAAP — ASC 606, ASC 705-20, or ASC 340-40 — and returns the treatment, the exact ASC citation, and the rule applied. Deterministic and grounded: it won’t guess; if the payment type is unclear it asks which one applies.

  • request_real_runfree · no sign-in

Returns the link to run a governed close on your own numbers — upload a rebate / SPA / deduction extract and get accruals, full lineage, and an auditor-ready export. It never asks for financial data inside the chat.

  • ingestneeds an Aurgus connection

Ingests one of your three rebate file kinds (CSV) into your tenant — pos (what was earned), claims (what you claimed), or credits (credit memos / vendor invoices received). Blank amounts and bad rows are held and reported, never booked as $0. Nothing is booked until a person certifies the mapping.

  • compute_closeneeds an Aurgus connection

Runs the governed, deterministic accrual / settlement calculation across your active agreements and ingested transactions, and returns the events created and the total accrual. It does not post to your general ledger — it produces the number; approval stays human-gated.

  • traceneeds an Aurgus connection

Traces any accrued figure to its lineage for a given transaction — source row → eligibility → bucket → rate → rule → event chain. This is what makes the number defensible to an auditor.

  • exportneeds an Aurgus connection

Produces the auditor-ready deliverable for your tenant: the open accrual (earned → settled → open), where margin is leaking versus unmatched, and representative lineage — all computed by the canonical ledger.

The rule that never bends

A human certifies. The assistant never posts.

Nothing is booked until a person certifies the mapping. Through the connector, the assistant can read, stage, and compute — but it never posts to your general ledger. The column mapping that decides which number is money has to be signed by a person before a close runs, and approval of the result stays human-gated.

Access & pricing

Who can connect

Anyone can add the connector and use explain and request_real_run — free, no sign-in. The run tools (ingest, compute_close, trace, export) require an authenticated Aurgus connection: a paid run or plan.

Pricing for the self-serve run and plan is on the Terms of Service. Questions: [email protected]. See also our Privacy Policy — Customer Data is never used to train models, resold, or used for benchmarking.

Aurgus is a product of MyDealsGroup LLC (d/b/a Aurgus), Austin, TX. Aurgus is a standard remote MCP server — this page documents connecting it in Claude; the same server connects from any MCP-compatible client.
